Bought these for a broken little finger of a 12 year old. He says they're not as good as the ones he got from the doctor. They're soft, but I think he liked the sticky thing the doctor had. We had to cut them in half for him. The photo shows the ones cut in half (and actually used for the pinky) with the full size for comparison. Husband tried them on and the loop prevented him from dropping them very far onto his thumbs. Which image is displayed. So you couldn't use the loop for your thumbs. UPDATE: I wish it was 3.5, but I couldn't in good conscience keep 4 stars. My son told me that the velcro isn't that strong after using it for a while. I agree wholeheartedly with the idea of buying it.
