I bought two hydration packs for my grandkids ages 7 and 9 who go on long weekend hikes with Mom and Dad. Backpacks are ideal for them as they don't need to carry a water bottle and can use their free hands to 'treasure' along the way while staying hydrated. The adjustable straps are good for adjusting to the child's size if needed, and the amount of water in the bladder is great for hiking 5+ miles on a hot day. My grandchildren love them! When they first opened their presents in their backpacks, they filled them and carried them around the house for several hours. Not only practical, but also fun!
