I have a Nitro 5 with the appropriate ports to support this hardware. However, the connections still used standard USB Type-C power options as data connections. You can probably use another option for this, but I ended up buying a powered dock to manage the weird computing. Previously only one monitor worked during setup. The problem was that the secondary monitor's default behavior was to replicate the laptop's screen settings (the left screen expanded and automatically chose the correct resolution, the right screen tried to expand the screen at a much higher, unsupported resolution ). After some frustration, I lowered the resolution and was able to get both secondary monitors to work. So for the final setup, I connect both HDMI (signal) and CA (power) cables to the docking station, and then the docking station connects to my laptop via a Type-C connection. To me, the brightness and contrast are similar to a Kindle reader and not necessarily high enough for activities outside of an email window or help page. I would recommend setting the resolution to a user friendly level as a higher resolution may not be usable at a smaller size. Connecting the device is easy but complex for most of the compatibilities advertised. The springs make it a bit difficult to open them wide enough to install. After installation, however, I did not encounter any problems. One of the main advantages is that it looks incredibly cool. I used this at a cybersecurity job fair and it definitely got some people's attention. However, I would suggest considering a simpler setup like regular travel monitors. I believe they would add more utility and flexibility at a lower price.
