This is a great shower head! It has everything I wanted in the shower: a large jet for wide water distribution, a hose jet for washing the dog, a pause function to turn off the water when not needed, a diverter so I only use the jets I need and choice of modes for my ever changing mood. So let's get started!*** PROS ***- Installation was very easy. All I had to do was use a wrench to remove my old shower head and needle nose pliers to remove the adjusters. Took about 10 minutes including control. I've always used teflon tape (which comes with the kit) but the manual recommends using it only in case of a leak. I risked it and didn't use it: no leaks! Great design! - The changeover and mode switch are very easy to switch. Because of this, I've always been hesitant to try idler heads and the like. Many are so difficult to change that nobody will use them. Same goes for head mode selection (I'm pretty sure everyone understands that). With my eyes closed and shampoo in my hair, I was able to switch the mode from pause to rain with one hand (both can be changed dripping) - the tube feels great! I was very surprised by it and how flexible it was. This design is different from others I've had and is much "thinner" than the others which almost makes it feel like there is no hose attached to it (aside from the weight). During testing, I accidentally pulled the hose too far because I almost forgot it was there. As for the length, this is the standard length for such heads, which is enough for almost everyone. I added a long photo in my shower, but we also have a head that's a little lower than most. A longer hose (8 feet or 10 feet) is also not very expensive (around $10). I would recommend trying it before buying a new hose and if it doesn't work, buy a new hose (standard fittings). We were able to wash a medium sized dog with the hose provided. *** CONS *** - Regulators in the heads restrict the water too much. We have a lot of water pressure in our apartment, and they have practically not restricted the flow. It's easy to remove (and the included instructions show where and how), but if everyone has to remove it, why put it there in the first place? I'd rather have a regulator that limits the water to a reasonable level for some people to actually use. The main head does not have an on/off switch like the hose head. There's a pause setting that does the same thing, but if you're using one of the modes in the middle of the selector switch, it can be a hassle to toggle the switch back from pause to the setting you want. Each setting clicks so feel and sound can be used, but a simple on/off button would be much better. *** ADDITIONAL COMMENTS *** - The pause function does not completely stop the water flow. This is by design and intentional as the increase in water pressure when the water stops completely can cause the connections to rupture. However, a break severely restricts the flow of water while still saving a lot of water. These heads are made of plastic. I doubt anyone will find an all-metal shower head in this price range, especially with all the features. In my experience with plastic shower heads, they are disposable. If after some time you rearrange them in one place in another place, the fittings will break during installation. I haven't tried moving this shower head (and probably won't because I don't want to break it), so I can't speak specifically about this shower head, but the feel is very similar to others, so I'd expect the same to be. Just something to note. For the same reason, do not overtighten the fittings. Too much pressure on the plastic can cause it to crack. This is especially important for metal hose connections as metal is much stronger than plastic. Make sure the diverter and mode selection switches snap into place. Otherwise water pressure builds up in the fittings and can cause them to burst. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest review. The discount didn't change my opinion of this showerhead (and we'll get a second one for another shower).
