I bought this for my work van which was recently gifted to me when I started my new job. The last few drivers were heavy smokers and the smell of cigarettes was incredibly strong. I've tried various cleaners, air fresheners, smoke deodorant spray and left windows and doors open for hours with no success. I was about to steam clean the interior to get rid of the smell and then I read that ozone generators can kill smoke smell. I found this device and was a bit skeptical due to its size compared to other larger devices that are only $20 more expensive. I decided to give it a try because it's small enough to fit in a cup holder, has a rechargeable battery, and can be powered from a car's cigarette lighter. When it arrived I thought I was set due to spelling and grammatical errors in the instructions. I was very wrong. This little thing is amazing, I charged it overnight and turned it on when I got out of the car to go to the office. When I got back to my car a few hours later, I was amazed. The stale smoke smell is completely gone, leaving the car with a clean smell reminiscent of the smell of a freshly mowed lawn. Overall, I was a little disappointed with the price because I would most likely only need to use it once, but then again, it completely eliminated the odor that other $40 hourly cleaners couldn't. I would definitely recommend it and would buy it again if needed. One important thing to keep in mind is that ozone is harmful to health and you or pets cannot be present during use. Be sure to air the room for a few minutes before re-entering.
