I washed this in a washing machine prior to use. No product that touches skin should ever be used without washing first. All products are stored/shipped in containers, stored in warehouse and trucks that are sprayed for rodents. That is my only issue with this sleeping bag. It should state that washing on gentle cycle Is fine and should be done prior to use.The zipper system is a bit different than other sleeping bags I own, but I resolved it.It is soft, does fully unzip and lay flat as a blanket. This is being used indoors by teens right now, so I can’t say how warm it would be for outdoor use. I think the price was fair and quality seems good.
