Review on Columbia Timber Glove Grill πŸ”₯ X Large: Superior Protection for Grilling Enthusiasts by David Hayden

The best technical fleece gloves?

I did not purchase these from Revain although I am a regular customer who appreciates the customer reviews available here. So I would like to share my opinion on these Columbia gloves. Two days ago I went to the big outdoor gear store at the local mall to replace some winter gloves I recently lost. There wasn't much choice and I don't need expensive ski or snowboard gloves with long cuffs. These gloves were on sale and the only ones I could think of. These are men's S/P sizes so they fit me perfectly. What convinced me to buy them was the fancy metal lining and the promise that they reflect heat and reflect your body heat to keep you warmer (warmer than what?). After trying out my new Columbia gloves, I returned home. My fingers sting and itch as they thaw from the painful cold. We had 4 to 5 inches of snow today after many days of near zero temperatures here near the Canadian border. Today it's up to +20 but it's still pretty cold. I went out to clean the driveway, a job that took me about an hour. After a few minutes I could tell my hands would be cold, but I wasn't expecting how cold. As the work progressed I began to feel that perhaps the metal lining was channeling the cold through the outside of the gloves and onto my fingers. If I hadn't finished my work, I would have had to leave because of my cold fingers. I need gloves to cross country ski in and these will never fit. I read two reviews of the same gloves in the female version. One person wore them to keep snow off the windshield, while another wore them while walking their dog and said they hoped they would still be warm when the weather turned colder. If you need gloves for cold weather outdoors, keep looking.
