You get what you pay for

I had this monitor a total of 2 days to return it. First, Asus tech support sucks. I don't want to spend $20-$30 to return a monitor that only costs $200. I want tech support to really solve my problems. Now my specific concern, the main thing is that I rarely get stuck pixels that I have to wash off again after a few hours of use, I never managed to do that with my Hanns G Budget. In addition, the colors all have a weird blue cast by default That cannot be fixed with a tweak , which means the white color is bluish white. I had to do a double take as I was used to the more accurate colors on my old monitor which was again a budget Hans G. Vertical viewing angles are really bad. When I sit back in my chair, maybe 2.5 feet from the monitor, the colors of the browser menu buttons facing up on the monitor look the same, meaning my green icons look bluish green and black icons look bluish black. Texts are unclear. By default, with a 1080p display, I had to change my browser to zoom to 125 percent or I'd have a headache surfing the web. Also, HDMI is weird. I used the HDMI connector and it actually looks worse than DVI, how does it work? Pros: The black level is the best I've seen on a monitor. The monitor looks good. Widescreen has its advantages and I prefer 4:3. Conclusion: A monitor is something that you ideally look at for many years to come. I think I'll choose a more reputable brand even if it has a smaller screen. I don't know if my issues are related to this particular monitor, but ASUS support and some other feedback made me return this monitor. A big thank you to Revain customer service and a bad review for ASUS, especially customer service.
