I've been using it for a week now. Good price and my laptop is really cool. I have a fairly large (16 inch screen) Toshiba I-7 with a 2GB graphics card. I have checked the internal fans, they appear to be working and cleaned, but my laptop is overheating. I have it on my desk at work and there is very little breathing room underneath. It got hot and performance suffered noticeably. This pillow keeps him a lot cooler and he's performing like a champ. This pillow allows you to lay it horizontally or tilt it up an additional 4 positions for a total of 5 positions. You can control how many fans run and how fast. I keep them all at max speed, I think this will be an issue if running on battery, but I have mine plugged in almost all the time. The measurements seem to be a little off, so I took the actual measurements. Note: This mat is not exactly rectangular, it has some top points that actually protrude a little, and so the widest width is 14.5 inches and the tallest top-to-bottom size is 11.75 inches. For me it was very important. because I wanted to put this cooling pad in my laptop bag, in one of the extra compartments so I don't have to carry it separately. Luckily he was spot on.
