My cat chases a lot of litter out of her box so finding a litter mat that would fix her escaped litter was an ordeal. This didn't work well for me. The holes are too big to do anything useful and if I miss a day to clear the trapped debris they will re-settle my cat's paws and he will start chasing them again. Also, I just found out this morning that he was picking up the corners and chewing on the "buttons" underneath, which allowed him to remove some of the buttons mentioned. He removed two and also made a huge slit along the hole in one of them (see picture). I could only find one of the removed buttons, so I can only infer that he ate the other one. I will be going through his poop over the next few days to make sure he passed it on. If you have a cat that chews on any solid surface like mine, I wouldn't recommend this. Even if your cat doesn't chew, I'm skeptical of this product's ability to actually catch dirt stuck deep in a cat's paw. I have bought other rugs with a tight silicone weave and they work much better. spelling edited.
