At first glance, a set of several gold plated earrings looks like a bargain for the listed price. All earrings are packed in plastic bags, in a transparent plastic box. Not bad. It's only when you get closer and examine and test some of the items included that you realize that the quality of some is sub-par or inadequate. For me, the most striking pair of earrings was a pair with a unique horseshoe haggis that looks very expensive. As soon as I put them on my ears, I realized how heavy they are and how they pull on my earlobes. It immediately made me want to wear them less. In the ad all the earrings are advertised as gold plated but in the picture it appears that all the pins are also gold plated. In fact, some of the frames looked more like silver than if they were just stainless steel. If you can only wear gold plated pins in your ears, I'll be careful. Finally, one of the tire sets had sharp surfaces near the bar, which made me worry they might scratch the wearer's ear. This also caused concern. I would buy these if you just want to wear and choose from a variety of gold hoop earrings without feeling valuable if you lose them and don't care too much about all pairs being super high quality or fully gold plated . . If you are particularly careful about what you wear or use, I would caution you against purchasing this set.
