Reliable switch for the price.

This is a pretty good KVM switch, but there are a few things to look out for before you buy one. I really like the solid metal body and the clear connector labels so it's fairly obvious what needs to be connected where. I also like the clear click of the button for switching between computers and the little rubber buds on the pads at the bottom of the switch. It's also nice that it has four USB inputs in case you have more than just a mouse and keyboard that you want to use between your two computers. I knew a 30Hz refresh rate was right for what I was doing, so it wasn't an issue. These are really just a couple of complaints I have and I really don't think they are to blame for the switches. First, I don't like that the USB ports are on the front. I like to hide all my cables as much as possible, so on a wired keyboard, the USB cable wraps around the front of the Switch to get to the port on the front. I wouldn't increase the form factor of the switch to match the ports on the back, so I guess that's a compromise. Second, when I switch from laptop to PC, all apps open on the external monitor are moved to the main laptop monitor. So when I switch back I have to drag them back to the external monitor. It's not the switches' fault, but it still happens and you need to be aware of it. Not a deal breaker either, but it would be nice to have a keyboard shortcut to be able to switch between the computers the Switch is listening on since it's already connected to it. Overall, the switch is solid for the price and works great.
