My granddaughter is learning to swim. She's still got her nerve, and frankly, so do I. She just hung around the steps to the pool, never went outside - never left the house. around the steps. As the day continued at the pool, she ventured back a little from the steps. All the time I was ready to jump into the pool in clothes and shoes. Then we both realized that floats really work! They kept her afloat. She soon found her way to the center of the pool, but still in shallow water. She played fearlessly with other children. I became more comfortable over time, but I still kept her with my hawkish gaze. The day ended for her with a fun, fearless and enjoyable experience. Now all she has to do is learn how to put her face in the water - it's part of the pool fun! STATISTICS: - 6 1/2 years old - 48 lbs - Cannot swim.
