I have a normal head size but for some reason I have to wear big hats. Even normal sized hats are too tight. This hat is not tight at all which is great. I used this hat on a hike while sleeping in a hammock in the freezing temperatures. Slept in hat all night. It's super light and was comfortable all night. I have to adjust most hats all the time, but I don't have this one. My head was also quite warm. The material doesn't protect against strong winds, but for a simple, very comfortable hat, the thing is just great.
