Review on 🎧 BASN MMCX Triple Driver In-Ear Monitors: Immersive Bass and HiFi Stereo Earphones for Audiophiles and Musicians (Porcelain White) by Charles Ahmar

Revainrating 3 out of 5

High-quality in-ear headphones with stereo sound for the musician in all of us

Very good in-ear headphones from BASN with a balanced and tuned three-speaker configuration. With an appealing aesthetic, this well-designed in-ear monitor is reminiscent of musicians without breaking the bank. I first ordered them for my old 2009 iPod which doesn't support Bluetooth, but they also work great for connecting to my guitar amps, Denon CD players, Android phones, laptops and other devices. The impedance of this 18 ohm in-ear monitor doesn't require much power to reproduce quality sound. I chose a porcelain white model that goes well with my picks and guitars, it's definitely intended for musicians or guitarists. See attached pictures. Last week I listened to over 30 hours of BASN in in-ear monitors on a variety of devices at the local library while I was out and about at home, switching between the included silicone and foam ear tips. The foam ear pads are a little more comfortable, block out a lot of outside noise, are more responsive to low frequencies but reduce the highs and upper mids. Silicone ear tips are easier to clean for good ear hygiene and are much more durable than foam rubber. Sound quality test: I recorded several tracks that push the limits of BASN in in-ear monitors. Billy Eilish's "Bad Guy" can push the limits of many speakers, headphones and in-ear monitors in the bass. This song gives these BASN triple drivers a quality stress test for processing deep bass notes from start to finish, and it did pretty well. Listen to this song at a moderate volume to protect your hearing. Inferior in-ear monitors don't cope with this as well as BASN's triple drivers. The Eagles' "Hotel California" sheet music from the album "Hell Freezes Over" on the Drum Bass Bongo CD sounds with crisp clarity, good soundstage and visual imaging. The dueling guitar riffs between Don Felder and Joe Walsh are accented by BASN headphones. The beautiful dynamic fluidity of Christina Perri's "A Thousand Years" by Piano Guy is reproduced with great soundstage and imagery. The cello and piano duel showcases the clarity of deep, warm cello tones and thin, short plucked notes, while the piano emphasizes high and mid frequencies. It's a feast for the ears with BASN in the in-ear monitors perfectly bringing out all the dynamic nuances in this performance. When I plug BASN into the headphone jack on my guitar amp with the included ΒΌ" adapter, I can hear my guitar with good clarity without disturbing my neighbor when my window is open. These in-ear monitors also handle the hiss and the harshness of some female singers compares well to many cheaper competitors. These are just a few of the songs I used to test this in-ear monitor. However, there are better-sounding headphones and in-ear headphones out there, but at a lot higher price, up to several thousand euros. There are also many in-ear monitors with five or even seven drivers each, but that does not mean that they are better.A balanced and tuned in-ear monitor like BASN will provide many of these Competitors in the shadows The included BASN accessories have a full range of features including a high quality silver plated detachable MMCX cable, an optional detachable microphone cab el, a wide range of interchangeable ear tips and an ear. Stem cleaning brush, ΒΌ" adapter and carrying case. This is a premium bundle you don't get with inferior products from other competitors. I've included an attached image showing a recently purchased Revain in-ear monitor for US$25 - Compares dollar with black cable to a BASN product See how tiny the black cable is on the cheaper product I would highly recommend them to young musicians or anyone who enjoys listening to music.
