The use case here is connecting a mirrorless camera to an external video recording monitor, both of which are spaced between HDMI connectors 11.5 inches. Anyone who has ever balanced a camera on a gimbal knows how sensitive the balance is to external forces. The cable for my application must therefore deliver high data rates while being light and very flexible. I started with an expensive Atomos brand coiled cable that "almost" worked but was too heavy and stiff for my particular setup. Kondor Blue cables have a very good reputation for quality and price, so I ordered one, thinking the outer fabric jacket might indicate light weight and flexibility. However, the cable was just as stiff or stiffer than the Atomos cable and I couldn't balance the camera. I finally found a very light flex cable and sent the cable back to Kondor. It is important to remember that other camera, monitor (and standoff) and gimbal configurations may work very well with this cable. It is well made and relatively cheap. By the way, it is also available in other colors than blue.
