Our 5 month old LOVES this toy. It's gender neutral. He has shiny fins, wrinkled fins, soft fins, and contrasting underfin colors that always seem to delight him whenever he pinches a fin. chew up. We actually use a rubber ring to attach it to the plastic links on the car seat headrest so he can't drop it in our minivan while we're driving. It's also the perfect tummy time toy, but we prefer to leave it in the car because he loves it so much he doesn't mind getting in or out of his car seat. As some reviewers have said, it was larger than I thought it would be, but only because I didn't look at the dimensions. I am very impressed and it was worth it. Our little one drools too.
