The shelf came with all the necessary hardware plus extra in case it gets lost and instructions. After that it was relatively easy to assemble and install, although I did use a heavier weight drywall bracket when attaching it to the wall. Although the item looks like the photo, it is far from the quality. First, the materials themselves are some of the lightest raw woods I've ever worked with, aside from balsa. Although varnished, it is otherwise unfinished and hardly sanded. Also, the hardware is very light, with questionably short screws to attach the hooks and extra-thin mounting screws to attach to the wall. Second, the wood finish left it decidedly non-square after assembly. Everything says this is a shelf. but too expensive for the $35 I paid. I just don't have the energy to take it apart, drive to a UPS store and ship it back. I suspect it will take a year or so before it gets too many layers and falls apart.
