Review on πŸ” Apple Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro 12.9 - 5th Gen, US English, Black by Debbie Jones

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great keyboard but needs improvement

This version (made specifically for the 5th gen but works on the 4th and I think 3rd) seems a little better to me than the previous model. thicker but not noticeably heavier to wear. It should be noted that this model falls to its knees much less than the last generation due to the heavy weight of the tablet. They've increased the weight of the keyboard to counteract this, and I'm a fan of that change. A few function keys are still missing. I feel the keyboard reclines a bit more than the previous generation, but I don't have the old one. more, so it could be my imagination. There's still a left charging port should you want the charging cable to charge the iPad on the left instead of the right. (The Magic Keyboard always charges directly through the iPad's magnetic connections, which is nice.) Other apps might support the keyboard and key commands, I think Hulu and a few others don't support play/pause, full screen, and other keyboard shortcuts, for example. the fan of choice for the outer case on this one. While the material feels comfortable, it doesn't feel premium and I doubt it can withstand a few drops or punctures, especially around the edges. Black will show fingerprints over time, I don't know about white but I bet it's the same. Other than that, this is a fantastic product. 4/5 - The deduction of a star is due to a combination of high price and unreliable case material, as well as the lack of some function keys.
