books arrived in perfect condition. They make a squeaky noise that my baby loves. I bought these for my 3 month old daughter, the books are very colorful and small enough for her to play with (ie put in her mouth). She enjoys looking at pictures and listening to rustling noises. There are six of them, so there is no variety. I like her a lot for her and she can learn words from it and in general the books are exactly as expected. That was great. And I can wash them. So perfect. I have all these extras that I can give away, put on a bike, or leave in different places. Yes, chickens run back and forth, but who cares, the baby can't read yet and when he does he'll be on regular books he doesn't chew.
