Review on 🎧 Black Philips TAPH805 Wireless Headphones by Kenta Sasaki ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A very high-quality product, I take it not for the first time.

I really dislike these arrogant reviews of people with perfect super hearing, who are used to listening to everything without a single percentage loss of quality, so I write it as it is, in simple human language. Over the past 10 years, I have only bought Sony extra bass headphones and for me it has always been ideal because I like to listen to heavy music: rock, heavy metal, thrash metal, etc., but I also like to listen to classical and piano and I also use headphones for movies. These are my first wireless and noise-canceling headphones, so I don’t really have anything to compare with in this sense, only with what I listened to when choosing. In the final, I compared it with Sony WH-XB900N, which is also a very worthy option, only Philips turned out to have a better price (4000 difference), better equipment (Sony has a poor bag, not a cool hard case), better materials and more balanced sound. I listen to music very often and headphones are very important for me, so I chose for a long time and diligently. The downside of Philips was that they are hard to find to listen to, so I had to go through half of Hong Kong to the Philips exhibition center on Leninsky Prospekt and only there I could touch and listen to them. Many people praise the Sony app for the ability to customize the sound, but I do not think that the application is necessary if your phone has a lot of high-quality settings. In my case, this is the case and my phone was able to pick up absolutely cool settings for these headphones so that the music sounds great, the detail is excellent, the volume is excellent, all the instruments can be disassembled, they sound legible and nothing is knocked out. Noise reduction is a thing that needs to be understood correctly, first of all, the keyword "noise", that is, this function does not cut off all the sound, it cuts off background noise, in this sense, the headphones do not work perfectly, but quite well, at least in my opinion. In general, the headphones are excellent, the company approached everything with attention and did its job efficiently, since their competition is very serious.

Pros
  • I've been using it for a month now and have not been disappointed at all. The sound in general, that is, the range of reproducible frequencies is decent and the quality of the reproduction of high, medium and low is very decent. I like to turn on the music loudly and these headphones can do it, without a margin, but the maximum volume is what you need, I would not do it louder. There is good bass here, which, when properly tuned on the sound source, will produce perceptible vibrations in the ears. The headphones are assembled qualitatively and their design is excellent. They sit tight on the head, do not fall and do not move out even when listening to Juds Preist Painkiller on enthusiasm. The battery and charging speed are simply the best among all (30 hours of playback and in 5 minutes the headphones are charged for 2 hours of playback). It comes with a hard case for storage and carrying, which is not only functional but also looks great. The microphone is normal, colleagues hear well when calling. And the price for such headphones is very adequate, I took it for 9600.
Cons
  • It's easy to accidentally switch the noise canceling mode, because. this is done by touching the touchpad on the right earcup, not a button, but it's a matter of habit. Occasionally, the connection to my phone stutters, but only when riding a bike fast and quite rarely (I think it's more about the phone).
