"Deadlock " seems like a strong word. It's terrible.

I bought these for my mum and when she realized they didn't fit her anywhere she might need them I tried them on some tricky drawers I have. I'm a little surprised they are rated so highly as I found them frustrating and the 'lock' feature was borderline too useless. If you have a box that they fit perfectly in, chances are they're amazing. If you leave room on one side (which I've done in all three drawers I've tried them in), they'll slide endlessly every time you open and close the drawer, and a small squeeze separates them. I ended up going for larger bins filled with heavier stuff to keep them in place and other bulky items that fill the open space next to them so they don't have room to move. The ones I have left (one of the long and skinny ones and all three of the smallest ones) are drying out right now as I literally glued them together in a last ditch attempt to make them useful. If they were really locked together, they would be great. But that's not the case. They have a ledge around the top of the container, and on one side of each is a small rod that hooks onto the ledge. The landing is very loose and, as I said, practically useless. Next time I need a separator, I'll look for a large container with separators in it. Those were terrible purchases.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • so far so good
