Write this review for the Groot II Monitor Mount (which I believe is the official product name). Arrived well packaged and with all the goodies listed in the product description. I am using this Groot II with a Weebill S, A6400, SmallRig Cage, Deity Vmic Duo (camera mounted) and a Sony 18-105mm G lens as a setup. The mount is fairly small and light but feels solid, the ports are solid and snap well, and the addition of a phone holder is a nice touch. I bought it because I needed an easier way to mount my phone that doesn't add weight to my rig, locks securely in place, but is also versatile in positioning; It replaces the SmallRig Bracket articulating arm, which was bulky and didn't always stay in place. For me the selling point was that it uses a socket to snap into my Weebill-S, once secured it stays in place and I am confident that it is secured. I often use my phone with my a6400 (running the Imaging Edge app) to monitor the video feed and the Groot II is the perfect accessory to protect my phone. The included phone mount is made of plastic and while not as strong as an aluminum mount, it's comfortable and gets the job done. Other bonuses include a cold shoe mount and a phone mount. The small dimensions of the Groot II prevent the built-in size from becoming too bulky and heavy. I like to keep my settings simple and clean and only leave the bare essentials on my ring so I don't weigh it down or exhaust myself on long shots. This mount is very light but looks well made and sturdy.
