OVERVIEW: You get what you pay for with this item. It does not cost much. It *works* as intended. But it's far from a premium product. This is only for buyers on a budget. BACKGROUND: I specifically selected this item for my college-age daughter to try out. She needs something like this. But when the item arrived I opened the box to take out the parts (including a nut that fell off one of the parts) but there were no instructions on how to do this. It's not that hard to figure out how the pieces fit together. and work, fortunately. And it wasn't even that hard to find where the loose nut went. However, when these plastic parts were manipulated, it became clear that this was a cheaply manufactured product. So I checked this article myself. That's what I think. WHAT I LIKE: Product works as intended. I particularly liked the fact that this item can be mounted on my car's air conditioning nozzle. My iPhone is secure. Nothing is blocking the iPhone Lightning cable connector. - It wasn't hard to figure out how the plastic parts were supposed to fit together (no instructions) WHAT COULD BE BETTER: - There were no instructions - Spongy parts meant to protect your smartphone or car didn't install properly. are attached to plastic parts (see my photos) and even when I place them in the right place they move slightly. This product's design feels flimsy and cheap, including the spring-loaded part that clamps your smartphone. If you are giving this to a family member so they don't hold their smartphone while driving, this product is the best alternative. But I will still look for a higher quality, better documented product with a less cheap feel. And maybe you want to do it too.
