I don't use keyboard cases. I only use the outer shell. I have a dark smoky grey. It's fairly glossy, so yes, it does show light scratches on the surface if you look closely in good light, and it shows greasy fingerprints. But most of these finishes will. However, I've had it for a few months now and overall it still looks brand new. And when I say scratches, it's not a scratch that shows a different color underneath. It's more like someone taking a black car to a car wash and getting swirl stains on the paint or waxing with an orbital buffer. You have to look for scratches in certain lighting conditions to see them. Oh and I tried the USB dongle and it worked, so nice to have if I ever need it.
