I have found that this thin XBOX requires a special disc and has a different warranty than the 360. That's what you see when you look at Microsoft. Warranties: Xbox 360 console: One year. Original Xbox 360 console with three flashing red lights or error E74: Three years from date of console purchase (does not apply to Xbox 360 E or Xbox 360 S console) Kinect sensor: One year Accessories: 90 days Definitions "Xbox 360 S" means new Xbox 360 console. The S console was purchased from an authorized retailer. "Accessory" means a new Microsoft-branded Xbox 360 or Xbox 360 S hardware accessory purchased from an authorized retailer. The hard drive is an accessory, preinstalled or sold separately. "Warranty Period" for Xbox 360 S means 1 year from the date of purchase; and for accessories, 90 days from the date of purchase. "You" means the original end user. "Normal Use" means normal use by the consumer under normal domestic conditions as described in the user guide for the Xbox 360 S or accessory "State" means the state, the District of Columbia and any other territory or possession n the United States. "United States of America" includes them all. Warranty During the warranty period, Microsoft warrants only to you that your Xbox 360 S or accessory will not fail under normal use. This is the only warranty Microsoft gives for your Xbox 360. S or Accessories and Microsoft make no other warranties or conditions. No one else can make any warranties or conditions on behalf of Microsoft. IF THE LAW OF YOUR STATE OR COUNTRY PROVIDES YOU WITH ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, THE DURATION OF THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES IS LIMITED TO THE WARRANTY PERIOD. Some states or provinces do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so this limitation may not apply to you. I bought it on September 28th, 2013 which is a year later and they say my hardware is no longer under warranty.
