This tool simply slides through the air vent on the Z4. The cup holder has been moved to the current Z4 as it has been moved from the air conditioning unit to the upper dash. The previous model did not offer enough room for a mobile phone in the cup holder (on the driver's left side) because the sharp corner of the windscreen did not leave enough room to meet the height requirements without blocking the air conditioning and mobile phone space. In addition, the cell phone was exposed to direct sunlight, which in Florida would be a death sentence for a plethora of important technology. The iOttie, which fits securely into one of the two air vents, sits securely at eye level on the driver's right side and is blown by cold air conditioning that saves in hot Florida, with the top down and the cold ambient air inside the car comfortably at 90+ degrees C lowered above. I can drive in a full suit and follow directions or calls without taking my eyes off the road. I am very happy with this unit as it never falls over and is fully air conditioned and never blocks the air I need. This device is a fraction of the price of a much-hyped cup holder that claims to fit in any car. It's not, and it's more than 10 times more expensive. Many Thanks.
