Review on πŸ”³ Polished Acrylic Glass Brass Standoffs by Robert Wood

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Mostly satisfied with the end result

I have achieved the end result I was aiming for mostly in terms of making a homemade "dry erase board". After reading a blog on the subject I did two things differently: A. I went with this greenish Optix acrylic (Home Depot) as it looks like real glass - quite happy with it. I'd really like to buy a board with a board thicker than .177" (since those studs are 3/4" from the wall it will flex if you brush the board - doesn't really matter. In terms of the actual one Board view clearance anyway, here's what I need to add: Colour: looks like the second example - more of a golden yellow than a brassy orange, that's what I was wondering when selecting the product given the range of colors in the photos.2, the blog i was reading a DIY project on this i suggested buying a 1/4" drill bit to drill the holes for these racks - WRONG! I ended up needing a 5/16- Inch drill bit for the rack hole - important! Tape the plastic to both sides before drilling - also important Finally you will see rubber washers - although it may be obvious - the washers are (I think) designed to compress the board - hold one behind the L och if you thread the top of the rack, and the other already on the threaded part of the st oyki to woo him. It holds up pretty well, but the rubber washers are almost impossible to align perfectly unless someone knows something I don't. Happy with the end result, I will buy more. Hope that helps.
