Mom gets cold so we decided to give her a thicker electric blanket for Christmas. We in the South don't always need a heater so a few weeks ago she had to pull it out to use. Blanket measures 50" x 60" in a beautiful navy blue. I specifically chose this because of the timer function. It can be set from 1 to 4 hours (in hourly increments). So when she falls asleep, she turns off automatically. It's also safe for her dogs who sleep with her and my stepdad. There are 6 heat settings that have a temperature range of 68 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit. The power cord is almost 10 feet long, which is more than enough. The control panel is a good size, easy to read and operate. The big test was her laundry. Followed all care instructions and it still works. I was worried but everything went well. I really liked the 24-month warranty on the duvet due to quality issues. For example, if it suddenly stops working. She loves her new electric blanket. I've even tried it a few times and it's very convenient.
