Review on Canon EOS 60D: 18MP CMOS Digital SLR Camera Body - Your Next Photography Companion by Kaito Itsuki ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am amazed at how well the product is made, just magically!

Approached seriously to the choice, in the future to engage in photography. And so, after reading an unrealistic amount of reviews about SLR cameras - it turned out to be a mess in my head, I decided to go to the store and buy in person. I chose between 650d and 60d. So the 650d seemed to me like a toy with an uncomfortable button layout and without a top screen, despite the touch screen and digic 5 processor. I bought a carcass with a canon 50mm 1.8 II, since the whale seemed creepy and dark to me. In the future, I did not regret a bit. Today I want to say that this is a wonderful camera for those who want to learn photography. Now I use it with Soviet optics, it does great! They write a lot about the noisiness of the matrix, so any matrix will become noisy at high ISO, it heats up, especially if you torment the camera in the dark without a tripod. For example, I need all the buttons on the carcass, I can even set my own functions for some. I always shoot in raw, then process. If you shoot in raw, you can set it up so that the display shows the photo exactly as it will be on the computer (remove auto-correction of brightness, set the image style to portrait, standard or accurate, then on the computer in lightroom or fsh set the same style as when shooting ). In general, I can’t really say a normal flaw about the camera, I wrote small nitpicks, although I also see strange reviews like a lot of pixels stuffed, outweighs with a heavy lens and others. =)

Pros
  • - very good build quality - for me personally, it sits like a glove in my hands - the buttons are very convenient, if you don't have huge fingers of course - the wheel for switching shooting modes seemed quite convenient to me (I rarely shoot videos, so it may seem tedious for someone to twist the entire mode in one direction back and forth) - everything suits the menu, you just need to learn how to use and read the instructions - very convenient top screen with backlight, no need to constantly turn on the main display The battery lasts a long time which is a huge plus! - it works smartly, does not blunt and does not creak (you need to buy a memory card of class 10 - no less, otherwise I look, they write that this is the camera's fault) - swivel screen, convenient (I always close it when I'm not taking it off so that it doesn't get scratched) - color reproduction is excellent, but it depends directly on the lens ! (in Nikon D90, the color rendering turned out to be really worse, but . it’s quite possible that the lens was on it with an inexpensive sigma) the tonal range at ff is certainly better, but here are the reviews about the crop! - synchronization with external flashes
Cons
  • - the mirror and focusing screen love dust, but this is from frequent lens changes. - many automatic shooting modes as many as 9 pieces
