Y'know, for the money.? I think this is a really great hat. I've had nicer hats, but they cost literally 3 to 4 times more, and they ultimately didn't last me all that long anyways since I seem to just destroy hats quickly. I think because I'm really tall, they get snagged up in branches and stuff quickly. As such, I asked myself "why spend more on a hat that I'm probably gonna destroy or lose in a year, when I can just buy several less-expensive hats?" Well, this is that hat.The materials are pretty decent. It's not really water resistant, but it'll keep rain out of your face. The mesh will allow good airflow, but keep bugs out. So far, after half a season, I see no evidence of deterioration due to HEAVY UV exposure. The material absorbs sweat fair enough, and can be gently hand washed clean. So far, it's held up to being snagged in three branches, and survived my storage compartment in my SUV. For the money, I think the materials are pretty good.I was impressed at the build quality, for such an inexpensive hat. The stitching was clean and straight, without any loose threads. All the components were assembled well, leading to a perfectly symmetrical hats (one of my more expensive hats can't say that).For the money, I got a hat that should probably have cost 2x more. Honestly, I think it even rivals a hat I have that cost nearly 3x more, as far as build quality. It's not as rugged as my even-more-expensive hats, but it doesn't have to - it's as good as I need it to be, and for a lot less money. My only problem is that it's just a little small. It sits a little higher on top of my ginormous pumpkin head than I would like, but so do my other hats. I just have an abnormally large dome - that's a me problem, not the fault of the manufacturer (I assume). It oughtta fit perfectly for most everyone else. Good hat for the money. I recommend it.
