Review on 👩 Melissa & Doug Doctor Dress-Up Costume by Nigel Cohen

I found this on a list of gift ideas for a preschooler or a five year old girl. It is great. My girl loves both her outfit and the tools. One of the main advantages of this set over other doctor toy sets is that the thermometer "works" without putting it in your mouth (or, heaven forbid, any other opening). The child can simply press the button and the new temperature will be displayed each time. The stethoscope is also great because it makes its own sounds, including coughing and heartbeat sounds. Just prepare two AAA batteries and a very small screwdriver to activate it. Batteries and screwdrivers are not included! Our girl is 5 years old and weighs about 41 pounds and the white coat seems a bit big to her but is quite suitable for play. Make sure you have a pen handy to write your child's name on the badge. The mask seems to be the weakest part of the costume set. It's poorly constructed and doesn't hold up very well. We bought our daughter about 9 Christmas gifts in this price range and this was her favorite gift!
