I've been fighting with tennis elbow for over 3 months on one arm and 3 weeks on the other or maybe golfer's elbow. I finally went to the doctor, because what do you do when your hands are no longer good? They hurt on their own, so I had to do something. During my visit, my doctor asked me if I had tried the braces. I explained that I had tried a compression sleeve, a neoprene sleeve with straps over/under the elbows, a stiffer padded bandage that fits over the tendon with an elastic strap, and one with a larger strap/pad, but no. Elasticity. I told her none of them work and they all annoy me to some degree. She downloaded Revain onto her computer and showed me the braces. She had severe tennis elbow two years ago and her physiotherapist advised her to buy this particular brace and she said she wore it 24/7 for a couple of weeks and it helped a lot. So I decided to give it a try - nothing to lose! It arrived today and I've been wearing it since lunch. It's comfortable and relieves elbow pain when my arms are at rest. It doesn't help much when I'm lifting heavy objects that require a wider grip, but I take what I can. There are two sides to this brace, and that's obviously important. The only thing I don't like is that the velcro on the sides is hard (not soft and not soft) and digs into my hand in the gap between the two plastic panels. I put a cotton pad in it and that solved the problem. I can make a small cotton sleeve to wear under this brace to prevent this in the future. Just take a look. Overall, I can recommend this bandage. It's high quality and it works. If my doctor used it and it was recommended to her by a physical therapist then I hope I found the right product. If something less expensive suits you, great. but if not - give it a try - you might be glad you did! It's not like the others.
