Review on Rio Salto Portable Temporary Darkening by Heather Taylor

Ideal for traveling with a baby

This blackout umbrella comes with a storage bag for easy storage without taking up too much space. This shade is essential when traveling with a child who is used to sleeping in a darkened room. We used it on a trip to California and it worked great for cutting out excess light from a window. The suction cups need a clean surface, so I recommend wiping them down as well as the window before sticking them on. So it will take longer. If the window already has blinds you can also wrap the top of the blinds in the blinds and this can help support them if you are having trouble fitting them. The window we taped it to was a bit dusty and I didn't have time to wipe it down before bed so we stuck it through the blinds. The price is good, a much cheaper alternative to buying a darkened sleeping tent. If your child doesn't mind seeing another room / maybe you're in the room too but still in a dark environment then this should work great for you.
