I don't know why I ordered it, honestly. Wood materials are my big weakness and I swear I get in those fugue states when I google "household items that look like wood but aren't" and buy anything in the top 100 results. I'm pretty sure that's how I ended up with this thing. That stump. This hollow tree stump for carrying clothes. I mean it makes sense; Stumps are top hats, laundry baskets are top hats. But when I first opened the package, I thought: WHAT HAVE I DONE? I spent 20 dollars on it. I NEED TO RE-EVALUATE MY LIFE. Then I noticed it was lined, which is better than any laundry basket I currently use (aka a crumpled canvas bag from Ikea). Then I grabbed the handles of the rope and realized they were thick but so, so soft. By that point it had already started to grow on me, so I threw in the rest of the mail to take home - and it was about three magazines, so it was serious mail, PLUS three days. -hundred newspapers that I was too lazy to bring. When I got to the top of the stairs, I was sure that it wasn't just a trash can, it was a multi-purpose garbage truck LIKE A STUMP. But I'm cynical so I scoffed a bit more thinking it's too small to carry around to wash. Surprise, surprise, it's wonderful. Honestly if it was a little bigger it would be very difficult to lift all the clothes you pack in. What's even better is that it's foldable yet durable; There's a ring(?) of sorts around the top hem to keep it in shape and keep it open when you're playing basketball with dirty socks. there will never be a war.
