Our cat used to get dry food until he was diagnosed with diabetes, ate dry food during the day. We were told to switch him to the expensive prescription wet food available from the vet and that was all he needed but the price of this food was very high for the amount you were getting. I started researching what was in these foods. Compared to various other canned foods, it seems logical that cats, being carnivores, need a meat-based diet.
