Really Good!: Furniture

My husband and I spent months trying to find a good changing table that would fit into our urban living space and finally settled on this one. We were apprehensive when it arrived and when we put it together, but were pleasantly surprised at how well it came together (the instructions were very clear and all the parts and holes were exactly as they should be and we didn't find it particularly practical folks !) and how beautiful it looks. White and wood look very good together. It's not a big dresser but it has 3 spacious drawers and fits in well in our room. The bottom of each drawer is chipboard, which is pretty thin, so I think that's the main difference between this and changing tables that cost $800 or more. The drawers slide out pretty well though, and I hope they hold up well until we've filled the drawers with a bunch of heavy things. There are options at the top. You can leave it all off (the dresser looks great, even better without), or you can even just put the assembled changing table on top. (Although it wouldn't be very secure.) We went ahead and attached the included brackets to the back to connect the changing table to the main dresser. There are no pre-drilled holes for this (unlike the rest of the dresser), so we used a drill. The material is a bit torn in the process, but it's on the back of the dresser (facing the wall), so it doesn't matter. There is also an extra strap to attach the whole dresser to the wall (to prevent a small child from knocking over the dresser) - we haven't done that part yet as that will be our job. First child.
