cute, works to touch, ipencil won't charge

I bought this because I thought it was cute. I also needed something to help me grab my pencil because I use it for studying and drawing along with my iPad Pro 12.9" (2020). It does what I ordered it for BUT it DOES NOT allow, that my pencil charges when it's on so I have to take it off to charge that's why I gave 3 stars a bit annoying having to take it with me to charge.
