Terrible timer - New lighting

I was hoping but these candles are a huge disappointment. The timer is off for all candles. Even though I put the batteries in and turned it on at the same time, there is a 2 hour window when the candles start to light randomly. Also, the remote works just inches from each candle, so I had to walk around the house to manually turn each candle on and off. Brightness is good but don't buy if you want to automate.
