I've had this blanket for 3 months now. The construction was of high quality. It has been through my top load washing machine many times and shows no damage, pilling or fading. The fabric is quite high quality, with a very soft velvety feel that feels nice when snuggled up, which I wasn't even expecting. The warmth of this blanket will be medium, it is neither light nor heavy. It will not warm you when it is very cold without heating. But if the house is just a little cold, you'll get pretty warm. Haven't tried it in the summer yet and will come back and report when it gets warmer. As far as temperature regulation goes, I felt it. It retains heat and allows excess heat to be dissipated. With my other blankets I used to sweat every night but with this blanket I don't sweat that often, maybe only 2 or 3 times a week. And when I sweat, this blanket doesn't stay wet at all. The only wet parts when I wake up are my sheets and pillowcase, but the comforter always stays dry, which is a big plus. I am very happy with this blanket. I would recommend this duvet if you are looking for durability and have night sweats. To update. It is still in the same condition as when it was first purchased. He went through the washer and dryer more times than I could remember. The color hasn't faded at all, the filler hasn't come out, the stitching is holding and the fabric is still as velvety soft as the first time. I use this blanket almost year-round in Pennsylvania in the winter, spring, and fall, but it can get too hot in the summer. I would really buy this blanket again if I ever need it.
