NOT for group rehearsal recording. This mic does very well for exactly what it is advertised for. Vlogging, YouTube and general speech behind the computer and in the field as a handheld microphone for voice capture. But that's literally all. In general, it cannot reproduce loud vocals or loud instruments without distortion. It's a shame because this is a really great little mic. I look forward to seeing what other iterations come up in the future. It looks and sounds great though. This is a great search. It's compact. It is easy to use and very sensitive. This is a significant upgrade for my Logitech camera microphone. Also, Uni/Omni mode is a nice touch. And I have to say the noise canceling feature works VERY well. No more fan noise or ambient noise in your podcasts! At 3 feet from the mic, the bass is still very rich and enjoyable. It doesn't have to be right in front of your face to be usable. My only complaint, aside from being useless in loud music environments, is that it whistles quite a bit. The high end is extremely present. This may be a good thing for some people who want it, as it's very clean (yet still sounds very full, even at a relatively long distance for a larger-diaphragm mic). But I can see how the highs can be problematic for some. Overall it does exactly what is advertised very well. Don't expect him to do anything beyond the stated goal. I would definitely recommend this mic to my friends who do anything voice related on their computer or in the field. Excellent work! some.
