I use a disc for video editing. To say that at the first attempt to mount from it I was surprised is to say nothing. The performance of the montage (FCPX) seems to have increased significantly. Loading a library, jumping from one sequence to another, pasture became noticeably faster. Most of the delays just disappeared. Previously, I mounted only from ordinary terabyte hard drives. So if there is a need to speed up the installation and there is no way to purchase a new computer, try this disk. You are guaranteed a twofold increase in program performance. Attached screenshots with a test of my copy for speed. I conducted a test with different file systems: native for poppy APFS and ExFAT (on screenshots) - there is almost no difference. I myself remain on the latter, since it is possible to use it with Windows if necessary.
