Not cotton at all but soft as butter and sits motionless on your head (like a hijab/headscarf) so light and soft you'll forget that you ate it. It's the softest, most flexible polyester I've ever seen and I'm determined to get it in every color. Of course, even more amazing is that it comes out of the dryer without being washed and doesn't crease all day long :D
