It would be better if the handle were somewhat more curved
I got this to put lotion along a seam across my back from surgery. I put lotion on it and reached as far as I could from side to side then I reached with it down over my shoulder. The seam was between my shoulderblades. When I tried it from side to side, I couldn't get to the middle and it didn't quite sit squarely on the skin, due to the handle not being quite curved enough. It did better from reaching over my shoulders for the center of the back. The surface is a soft plastic. Easy to wash off any leftover lotion with soap and water.
