I carry most of my weight in my midsection, so trying to find a swimsuit isn’t my idea of fun. Some quick research showed that a ruffled top like this one might help hide some extra fluff around my waist, so I gave it a shot. I was skeptical but pleasantly surprised after I tried it on. The neckline is high enough to where I can chase my kids around + bend over and not feel like I’m giving everyone a show, and the straps stay put. The ruffles DO help camouflage extra weight, so I’m not constantly adjusting the suit. The back is pretty tight and not super-flattering, but I guess that’s to be expected when you’re a little overweight. The bottoms are a little tight, and I might replace them with some high waisted bottoms I have from another suit. The suit smells funny upon arrival, but I’m hoping that washing it will help. The one major complaint I have is that the print is only on the outside. Not a big deal until you move and one of the ruffles flips over to reveal a white backing. Since I got a dark colored suit (the purple), it’s pretty noticeable.
