US big is very big?

MAGCOMSEN short-sleeved men's t-shirt Quick Dry UPF 50+ Very nice, well-tailored t-shirt. However, I found the sizing printed on the inside of the shirt to be quite offensive. Apparently large is considered large in the US and extra large in the rest of the world. Sad.
