Great investment for hiking

I gave this product to my girlfriend for her birthday and we were very happy with the meal. We brought back cabbage, onions, celery, potatoes and carrots from our recent hike and it was so nice to have a hot and hearty meal for dinner after a day of hiking. Since I was a pack mule, I was also happy because the dry food hardly weighed down my backpack. I cannot fully recommend this product. Some things to watch out for: 1) Because these foods are dried, they consume a significant amount of water and take little time to cook; However, we have found that this can be corrected by cooking the product in a saucepan with the lid on. 2) A little goes a long way. If you don't have a large pot, you'll only need a few tablespoons of each item you add to your dish. Next time we plan to measure out our ingredients before the trip and mix them together in separate bags. 3) You only get vegetables; spice of your choice. We plan to solve this problem by adding spices to ready-made vegetable bags. (see number 2)
