Feedback after wearing it for two years

I have been wearing Topider for over 40 years. This gray tarpon shoe is very durable and just what you'd expect from Sperry. My couple endured constant abuse for two years. You can wear this shoe multiple times and as long as you let it dry it doesn't smell bad - even if you wear it daily for a long period of time. Just keep them dry! The pair I've worn has endured heavy doses of seawater, sun and repeated drying after getting wet and the upper stays supple. It helps to rub some foot oil into the skin every now and then. The non-marking soles are also durable, providing excellent traction on the boat deck while still feeling soft. The laces are strong and will not snap or fray. By the way, the mesh on the sides doesn't let any air through, because it's covered with leather on the inside. My only real complaint is the memory foam insole. This is very poor quality and eventually the shoes become unwearable. When you get wet (as many people do) the insole stiffens, shrinks, and then comes out of the insole, and the thinner front half of the insole ripples and puckers. At first I wore them like this and they worked fine but when I took them off the insole stuck to my foot which was sockless most of the time! The only way around this is to rip out the insole, which is not easy as it is glued to the insole. And even after you pull it out, most of the foam sticks. I had to carefully remove all the foam by sanding, yes sanding, and then I bought them a good removable pad. Now they work great but it took some effort. If you only wear them occasionally the insole might not be an issue, but if you are out and in the water like me then sooner or later it becomes an issue.
