I'm not a spontaneous buyer - I've studied small point and shoot cameras thoroughly. I've told my wife I want one for her, but I really need a camera that takes good pictures in many situations, including low light, and I wanted to carry it in a small bag on my hip. The experience with cameras is above average but when it comes to buying a camera I want the best value for money. I looked at a few digital camera reviews but ended up using [.] the most. I started with a list of his best ultra-compact cameras and narrowed it down. After narrowing it down to three based on features and price, I went to the stores and tried them out. The Samsung L210 was ruled out because I had trouble with the controls. The Canon Powershot SD750 and Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS3 have remained. I was looking for the cheapest camera I could find. I went to Circuit City and they had these two cameras. I went from one to the other and back again, used different settings, photographed and analyzed the operation and use of cameras. FS3 won! It cost the same as the cheap looking Samsung L210 but outperformed the Canon Powershot SD750. I bought a Kingston SDHC SD4 4GB and it takes close to a thousand shots at maximum settings. However, I had some problems. I went straight away and had a little time to try out my new toy. When I got there I took pictures but I threw the camera to my son who wanted to see it (in the case of Samsonite of course). He received an error message indicating a problem reading the card. Then I realized that I had lost a few photos. I was very disappointed. I kept losing frames after testing the feature and thought it might be due to it being ejected or the SD card. I had my PDA with an old smaller SD card in it so I replaced it. I haven't noticed any other errors or image loss. Back home I was disappointed that I had bought a huge 4GB card that didn't seem to work with my camera. The manual recommends using Panasonic SD cards, so I bought one. Panasonic 4GB Class 6 High Capacity SD Memory Card that works great. It costs more but is very fast - I believe that the speed problems of most digital cameras can be overcome with a good class 6 data card. You can't be wrong. It's packed with features, takes great pictures and what I like most is the great interior shots in low light. The flash shots are also excellent, very soft and even. All at an unbeatable price. yeah
