Our house is quite old, and despite the new water heater, even lukewarm water reached our kitchen sink in about 4+ minutes. . It's been wasteful and frustrating for over 40 YEARS! When I saw this product I knew I had to try it. I'm so glad I did. I did the installation myself with basic tools and no plumbing experience. All the necessary parts were included and it helped that there was an outlet next to the heater. Two suggestions: 1) There was no need to turn off the water heater and drain it completely as the instructions say. I just poured a couple cups of sediment from the bottom of the water heater into a small bucket before disconnecting the "hot water outlet" hose on top of our gas water heater. 2) If you are connecting the sensor under the sink it is MUCH better to make all connections on the sensor itself first before climbing under the sink. WARNING: Make sure the sensor is installed right side out to avoid accidentally swapping hot/cold connections! The total assembly time was about 1 hour. In terms of performance, it's quiet and efficient (I left my device on and plugged it into a smart plug for scheduling). After 40+ years of frustrating and wasteful plumbing, my hot water is now hot and scalding in less than 30 seconds! Now I just waste water turning on faucets to marvel at how great it is to have hot water quickly. Highly recommended! Still loving it after the first week!
